An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Santa Claus Reindeer as well as Ranua Zoo. Bring the kids along to SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus and Christmas House Santa. When in Rovaniemi, make a side trip to see Ski Resort Ritavalkea in Pello, approximately Pello away. There's much more to do: make a trip to Santa Claus Village, examine the collection at Santa's House of Snowmobiles, buy something for everyone on your list at Arctic Circle Mall, and enjoy some diversion at Santa Claus Office.

On the 1st (Fri), explore the venue of The Sami Cultural Centre Sajos, see the interesting displays at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, and then pause for some serene contemplation at Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church. On the 2nd (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: explore the striking landscape of Lemmenjoki National Park.
