Helsinki is known for historic sites, museums, and shopping. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: expand your understanding of the military at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali), explore the world behind art at Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, and get to know the fascinating history of The Esplanadi Park.

Leeds, UK to Helsinki is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and train; or do a combination of train, bus, and ferry. Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Take a break from Levi with a short trip to Seven Fells Up in Akaslompolo, about 1h 5 min away. Spend the 12th (Sat) on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort. There's still lots to do: bet on your favorite at Icekarting Levi, get a dose of the wild on Lapland Safaris Levi, fly down the slopes at Yllas Ski Resort, and look for gifts at Elan Ski Shop & Rental.

Getting from Helsinki to Levi by flight takes about 3 hours. Other options: drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Outdoor pursuits--ranging from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to reindeer safaris and chasing Northern Lights--draw the largest number of tourists to Saariselka.
Explore Saariselka's surroundings by going to Inari (Juutua Nature Trail & Nature & Wildlife Tours). Spend the 14th (Mon) exploring nature at Urho Kekkonen National Park. There's still lots to do: trek along Ruijanpolku Trail and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Saariselka S:t Paulus Chapel.
