Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Galerie Forsblom will appeal to museum buffs. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Old Market Hall and Kamppi Shopping Centre. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Helsinki: Jarvenpaan Taidemuseo (in Jarvenpaa) and Nuuksio National Park (in Espoo). Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Start off your visit on the 31st (Fri): view the masterpieces at Photographic Centre Peri, explore the historical opulence of Turku Castle, and then browse the different shops at Kauppakeskus Mylly. On the 2nd (Sun), ski along the peaceful trails at Levi Ski Resort. Here are some ideas for day two: stop by Elan Ski Shop & Rental, surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, and then explore and take pictures at Ice Karting Levi.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
On the 5th (Wed), take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, then look for gifts at LAURI, then take an exotic tour of a safari tour, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Rovaniemi Church. On the next day, browse the different shops at Arctic Circle Mall, then Head underground at Syvasenvaara Fell, and then find something for the whole family at Santa Claus Village.
