Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Get a sense of the local culture at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Kansallisgalleria. Step off the beaten path and head to Cathedral of Porvoo and Natural History Museum (Luonnontieteellinen Museo). Change things up with a short trip to Brunberg Candy Factory Shop in Porvoo (about 50 minutes away). There's much more to do: learn about all things military at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, take in the spiritual surroundings of Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali), stroll through The Esplanadi Park, and shop like a local with Hakaniemi Market.

Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova and Forum Marinum Maritime Centre. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Old Rauma and St Henry's Ecumenical Art Chappel.
