Porvoo, one of Finland's oldest and prettiest towns, boasts cobbled streets, famous red-brick warehouses, and a charming river.
Step out of the city life by going to Mielakka Ski Center and Beach Mansikkalahti. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Porvoo Old Town and Linden Esplanade. Explore Porvoo's surroundings by going to Arboretum Mustila (in Elimaki), Langinkoski Imperial Fishing Lodge Museum (in Kotka) and Pyhtaa Church of Saint Henry (in Pyhtaa). There's still lots to do: appreciate the extensive heritage of Castle Hill.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
