Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Mielakka Ski Center and Beach Mansikkalahti. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Linden Esplanade and Castle Hill. Get out of town with these interesting Porvoo side-trips: Pyhtaa Church of Saint Henry (in Pyhtaa), Langinkoski Imperial Fishing Lodge Museum (in Kotka) and Arboretum Mustila (in Elimaki). An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
