Although predominately an industrial town, Imatra boasts a long and impressive history of tourism, largely owing to its fierce rapids, considered to have been Finland's first ever tourist attraction.
On the 29th (Wed), step off the mainland to explore Malonsaari, then explore the striking landscape at Kummakivi Boulder, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Rautjarven kirkko, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at De tre korsens kyrka. Kotka is a city and municipality of Finland.Kotka is located on the coast of the Gulf of Finland at the mouth of Kymi River and it is part of the Kymenlaakso region in southern Finland. On the 2nd (Sun), admire the striking features of Saint Peter and Saint Paul Cathedral, then take a stroll through Linden Esplanade, and then get to know the fascinating history of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church. On your second day here, don't miss a visit to Stromforsin Ruukki and then identify plant and animal life at Arboretum Mustila.
