An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Ranua Zoo and Arctic Emotions Oy. Visiting Hiidenkirnut and Napapiirin Porofarmi will get you outdoors. Change things up with a short trip to Eeron Polku Trail in Pello (about 1h 15 min away). Joensuu is a city and municipality in North Karelia in the province of Eastern Finland. We've included these beaches for you: Utra Beach and Honkaniemi Beach.
