Let the collections at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Galerie Forsblom capture your imagination. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Hakaniemi Market. Step out of Helsinki with an excursion to Nuuksio National Park in Espoo--about 48 minutes away. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Vapriikin Museokeskus and Hatanpaa Arboretum. For shopping fun, head to Laukko Manor or Galleria Ronga. Step out of Tampere to go to Ylojarvi and see Seitsemisen Kansallispuisto, which is approximately 54 minutes away. There's still lots to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Tampereen Tuomiokirkko, pause for some serene contemplation at Pyhan Birgitan kirkko, kick back and relax at Riihiniemen Uimaranta, and get engrossed in the history at Emil Aaltosen Museo.
