An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.Step off the beaten path and head to SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus and Christmas House Santa. Kids will appreciate attractions like Rovaniemi Church and Forestry Museum of Lapland. Change things up with a short trip to Pyha-Luosto National Park in Pyhatunturi (about 1h 35 min away).
