Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Cathedral of Porvoo. Do your shopping at Hakaniemi Market and Artek. Explore Helsinki's surroundings by going to Raseborg Castle (in Raseborg), Kotka (Santalahti Nature Trail & Linden Esplanade) and Aurlahti Beach (in Lohja). There's still lots to do: contemplate the long history of Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, don't miss a visit to Porvoo Old Town, take in the spiritual surroundings of Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali), and admire the landmark architecture of Temppeliaukio Church.

Turku

Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Kick off your visit on the 9th (Mon): browse the different shops at Kauppakeskus Mylly, admire the landmark architecture of St Henry's Ecumenical Art Chappel, and then get engrossed in the history at Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova. On the 10th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: pause for some serene contemplation at The Church of the Holy Cross, then appreciate the extensive heritage of Old Rauma, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Archangel Michael's church, and finally take an in-depth tour of Turku Castle.

Savonlinna
