Kotka is a city and municipality of Finland.Kotka is located on the coast of the Gulf of Finland at the mouth of Kymi River and it is part of the Kymenlaakso region in southern Finland. Get some historical perspective at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church and Church of Hollola. Step off the beaten path and head to Söderskärin majakka and Pyhtaa Church of Saint Henry. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kotka: St Michael Church (in Pernaja), The Astuvansalmi rock paintings (in Ristiina) and Ruotsinpyhtaa (Church of Ruotsinpyhtaa & Stromforsin ruukki).
