Lahti is a city and municipality in Finland.Lahti is the capital of the Päijänne Tavastia region. Step off the beaten path and head to World Heritage Site - Verla Groundwood and Board Mill and Parola Tank Museum. Visit Ristinkirkko and Birthplace of Jean Sibelius for their historical value. Get out of town with these interesting Lahti side-trips: The Recreational Fishing Museum of Finland (in Asikkala), Holy Cross Church (in Parola) and Kotka (Riverside Park, Linden Esplanade, & more). There's still lots to do: look for gifts at Trio, take in the pleasant sights at Visavuori, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of the Intercession of the Mother of God, and get great views at Radio and TV Museum.
