Finland's third largest city, Tampere boasts an array of cultural offerings and a lively music scene.
Step out of the city life by going to Hatanpaa Arboretum and Viikinsaari Island. Take a break from Tampere with a short trip to Hame Castle in Haemeenlinna, about 1h 15 min away. see Sarkanniemi Theme Park. There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Pyynikki Park and Observation Tower, make a trip to Nasinneula Tower, see the interesting displays at Vapriikin Museokeskus, and kick back and relax at Rauhaniemi Beach.
