Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Venture out of the city with trips to Lapland Hotels SnowVillage (in Kittila) and Seven Fells Up (in Akaslompolo). Spend the 2nd (Wed) on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort. There's still lots to do: join the crowd at Icekarting Levi, gear up at Elan Ski Shop & Rental, surround yourself with nature on Lapland Safaris Levi, and shop like a local with LUVATTUMAA - Levi Ice Gallery.

Vienna, Austria to Levi is an approximately 10-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 1 hour traveling from Vienna to Levi. When traveling from Vienna in March, plan for much colder days and little chillier nights in Levi: temperatures range from 0°C by day to -10°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sat) so you can drive to Saariselka.

Saariselka

Outdoor pursuits--ranging from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to reindeer safaris and chasing Northern Lights--draw the largest number of tourists to Saariselka.
Explore Saariselka's surroundings by going to Inari (The Sami Cultural Centre Sajos, Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, &more). Spend the 7th (Mon) exploring nature at Urho Kekkonen National Park. There's more to do: get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour and get all the equipment you need at Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort.

Traveling by car from Levi to Saariselka takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Expect a daytime high around -1°C in March, and nighttime lows around -12°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 9th (Wed) early enough to go by car to Rovaniemi.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Change things up with a short trip to Amethyst Mine Lapland in Luosto (about 1h 30 min away). And it doesn't end there: make a trip to Santa Claus Village, explore the fascinating underground world of Syvasenvaara Fell, relax in the rural setting at Napapiirin Porofarmi, and get in on the family fun at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus.

You can drive from Saariselka to Rovaniemi in 3.5 hours. Another option is to take a bus. In March, daily temperatures in Rovaniemi can reach -1°C, while at night they dip to -9°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 14th (Mon) early enough to catch the flight back home.
