Inari

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Escape the urban bustle at Urho Kekkonen National Park and Juutua Nature Trail. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church and Saariselka S:t Paulus Chapel. Explore Inari's surroundings by going to Saariselka (Nature & Wildlife Tours & Hippupuoti Gift Shop). There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, take in the spiritual surroundings of Saint Tryphon Pechenga Orthodox Church, relax in the rural setting at Tuula's Reindeer, and get outside with Lake Inari.

Helsinki to Inari is an approximately 3-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Plan for slightly colder temperatures traveling from Helsinki in July, with highs in Inari at 20°C and lows at 11°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 15th (Thu) so you can go by car to Levi.

Levi

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Keimioniemi Fishing Cabins and Taatsin seita. Visiting Levi Ski Resort and Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park will get you outdoors. It doesn't end there: fly down the slopes at Yllas Ski Resort.

Getting from Inari to Levi by flight takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 22°C in July, and nighttime lows around 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 18th (Sun) so you can travel to Pyhatunturi.

Traveling by car from Levi to Pyhatunturi takes 2.5 hours. In July, daytime highs in Pyhatunturi are 23°C, while nighttime lows are 11°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 20th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Rovaniemi.

Rovaniemi

Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Get some historical perspective at Rovaniemi Church and Tornio Church. Visiting Ranua Zoo and Kotielainpuisto Arkadia will get you outdoors. Change things up with a short trip to Kemi Church in Kemi (about 1h 35 min away). There's still lots to do: take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, make a trip to Lordi's Square, get curious at Science Centre Pilke, and Head underground at Syvasenvaara Fell.

Drive from Pyhatunturi to Rovaniemi in 2 hours. In July in Rovaniemi, expect temperatures between 22°C during the day and 13°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 25th (Sun) to allow time to fly back home.
