Vantaa

— 5 nights
Though technically its own city, Vantaa is considered by many to be a Helsinki suburb, and it is where most visitors land when they fly to Finland.
Maritime Centre Vellamo and Hame Castle are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get outdoors at Lehman and Sipoonkorven Kansallispuisto. Explore Vantaa's surroundings by going to Porvoo (Cathedral of Porvoo, Porvoo Old Town, &more), Laurinmaki Crofter's Museum (in Janakkala) and Arboretum Mustila (in Elimaki). There's lots more to do: get engrossed in the history at Finnish Aviation Museum, wander the streets of Linden Esplanade, and take in the dramatic natural features at Hiidenvuori.
