Though technically its own city, Vantaa is considered by many to be a Helsinki suburb, and it is where most visitors land when they fly to Finland.
Maritime Centre Vellamo and Laurinmaki Crofter's Museum are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get outdoors at Lehman and Sipoonkorven Kansallispuisto. Explore Vantaa's surroundings by going to Hame Castle (in Hameenlinna), Arboretum Mustila (in Elimaki) and Porvoo (Cathedral of Porvoo, Porvoo Old Town, &more). There's lots more to do: get engrossed in the history at Finnish Aviation Museum, wander the streets of Linden Esplanade, and take in the dramatic natural features at Hiidenvuori.

To see reviews, ratings, other places to visit, and more tourist information, refer to the Vantaa day trip planning app.

Silao, Mexico to Vantaa is an approximately 22.5- hour combination of flight and car. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 8 hours traveling from Silao to Vantaa. Traveling from Silao in July, you will find days in Vantaa are slightly colder (24°C), and nights are about the same (15°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Sat) to allow enough time to take a train to Helsinki.
