Though technically its own city, Vantaa is considered by many to be a Helsinki suburb, and it is where most visitors land when they fly to Finland.
Maritime Centre Vellamo and Hame Castle are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get outdoors at Hiidenvuori and Sipoonkorven Kansallispuisto. Explore Vantaa's surroundings by going to Laurinmaki Crofter's Museum (in Janakkala), Porvoo (Cathedral of Porvoo, Porvoo Old Town, &more) and Arboretum Mustila (in Elimaki). There's lots more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Lehman, wander the streets of Linden Esplanade, and take an in-depth tour of Finnish Aviation Museum.

To see traveler tips, maps, reviews, and more tourist information, refer to the Vantaa day trip planning app.

Silao, Mexico to Vantaa is an approximately 22.5-hour combination of flight and car. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 8 hours traveling from Silao to Vantaa. Traveling from Silao in July, you will find days in Vantaa are slightly colder (°C), and nights are about the same (°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Helsinki.
