Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Appreciate the collections at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Kansallisgalleria. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma. The adventure continues: get a new perspective on nature at Natural History Museum (Luonnontieteellinen Museo), take an in-depth tour of The National Museum of Finland, wander the streets of Ullanlinna, and pause for some serene contemplation at Helsinki Cathedral.

Although predominately an industrial town, Imatra boasts a long and impressive history of tourism, largely owing to its fierce rapids, considered to have been Finland's first ever tourist attraction.
On the 15th (Sun), take in the architecture and atmosphere at Joutsenon kirkko, explore the activities along Saimaa Canal, admire the striking features of Lappeen Marian kirkko, then pause for some serene contemplation at Lappeenrannan kirkko, and finally step into the grandiose world of Sandcastle Lappeenranta. On the next day, take in the dramatic scenery at Imatra Waterfall, step off the mainland to explore Lammassaari Island, and then step off the mainland to explore Malonsaari.
