Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
For shopping fun, head to Hakaniemi Market or Galleria Lapinlahti. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Mannerheim Museum. Explore Helsinki's surroundings by going to Porvoo (Cathedral of Porvoo & Porvoo Old Town). Pack the 19th (Fri) with family-friendly diversions at Linnanmaki Amusement Park. And it doesn't end there: admire the masterpieces at Kansallisgalleria, shop like a local with Galerie Forsblom, get a new perspective on nature at Natural History Museum (Luonnontieteellinen Museo), and take in the exciting artwork at Okra.

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Start off your visit on the 21st (Sun): get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, pause for some serene contemplation at Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church, and then examine the collection at Siida. On the 22nd (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: explore the striking landscape of Lemmenjoki National Park.

Traveling by flight from Helsinki to Inari takes 4 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Helsinki in July, expect Inari to be a bit cooler, temps between 64°F and 49°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Mon) so you can travel to Tampere.
