Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Get in touch with nature at Nuuksio National Park and Stand-Up Paddleboarding. Explore hidden gems such as Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Sapokka Water Garden. Get out of town with these interesting Helsinki side-trips: Linden Esplanade (in Kotka) and Porvoo Old Town (in Porvoo). And it doesn't end there: pause for some serene contemplation at Temppeliaukio Church, hunt for treasures at Hakaniemi Market, admire the landmark architecture of Helsinki Central Railway Station, and make a trip to Senate Square.

Zurich, Switzerland to Helsinki is an approximately 6- hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and ferry; or drive. The time zone changes from Central European Standard Time to Eastern European Standard Time, which is usually a 1 hour difference. Although predominately an industrial town, Imatra boasts a long and impressive history of tourism, largely owing to its fierce rapids, considered to have been Finland's first ever tourist attraction.
Kick off your visit on the 16th (Thu): take in the dramatic scenery at Imatra Waterfall, take in the spiritual surroundings of Church of St. Nicholas, then step off the mainland to explore Lammassaari Island, and finally stroll through Lempukka Beach.

Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Take a break from the city and head to Ispoinen Beach and Sauna and Bike Rental - by Carfield. Step off the beaten path and head to Naantali Old Town and Turku City Library. When in Turku, make a side trip to see Old Rauma in Rauma, approximately Rauma away.
