Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Aurlahti Beach and Kallahdenniemi Beach. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Cathedral of Porvoo. Change things up with these side-trips from Helsinki: Porvoo Old Town (in Porvoo) and Nuuksio National Park (in Espoo). There's still lots to do: visit Katajanokka, stroll through Aurinkolahti Beach, squeeze the most out of the city with City Tours, and explore the world behind art at Kansallisgalleria.
