Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 29th (Wed): explore the world behind art at Hannu Hautala Nature Photography Centre, head outdoors with Karhunkierros, then stop by Riipisen Wild Game and Souvenier Shop, and finally experience rural life at Palosaari Reindeer and Fishing Farm.

Koli National Park

Although many Koli National Park tours revolve around the majestic natural landscape, there are still plenty of things to see and do for those pursuing culture and heritage.
Start off your visit on the 1st (Sat): explore the striking landscape of Kolinuuron kierros Nature Trail, then hike along Ukko-Koli Hill, and then contemplate the waterfront views at Pielinen. Keep things going the next day: stop by Koli Shop Retkitupa, then trek along Herajarvi Hiking Trail, and then trek along Paha-Koli Hill.

Although predominately an industrial town, Imatra boasts a long and impressive history of tourism, largely owing to its fierce rapids, considered to have been Finland's first ever tourist attraction.
On the 3rd (Mon), head off the coast to Lammassaari Island, enjoy the sand and surf at Lempukka Beach, then stroll through Malonsaari, and finally take in the dramatic scenery at Imatra Waterfall.

Traveling by car from Koli National Park to Imatra takes 3.5 hours. In January, plan for daily highs up to 20°F, and evening lows to 11°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Mon) so you can travel to Pori.

Prepare for somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Imatra in January: high temperatures in Pori hover around 27°F and lows are around 17°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 4th (Tue) so you can catch the flight to Helsinki.

Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Room Escape Games and Sibelius Monument. Change things up with a short trip to Porvoo Old Town in Porvoo (about 50 minutes away). Pack the 6th (Thu) with family-friendly diversions at Linnanmaki Amusement Park. There's still lots to do: explore the galleries of Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, pause for some serene contemplation at Helsinki Cathedral, admire the landmark architecture of Temppeliaukio Church, and take an in-depth tour of Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum.
