Although predominately an industrial town, Imatra boasts a long and impressive history of tourism, largely owing to its fierce rapids, considered to have been Finland's first ever tourist attraction.
Start off your visit on the 16th (Mon): pause for some serene contemplation at Church of St. Nicholas, head off the coast to Malonsaari, thenenjoy the sand and surf at Lempukka Beach, and finally head off the coast to Lammassaari Island.

Drive from Savonlinna to Imatra in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 24°C in July, and nighttime lows around 14°C. On the 17th (Tue), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can drive to Pori.

Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Turku Castle and Teijo National Park. Get some cultural insight at Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova and Turku Cathedral. When in Turku, make a side trip to see Bellevue Beach in Hanko, approximately Hanko away.
