Maritime Centre Vellamo and Museum of Aviation are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Langinkoski Imperial Fishing Lodge Museum and Main Building of Military School. Take a break from Kotka with a short trip to Marian Kirkko in Hamina, about 30 minutes away. There's much more to do: admire the natural beauty at Sapokka Water Garden, appreciate the extensive heritage of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, trek along Santalahti Nature Trail, and admire the landmark architecture of Saint Peter and Saint Paul Cathedral.
