Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Go for a jaunt from Helsinki to Espoo to see Nuuksio National Park about 48 minutes away. Pack the 11th (Sat) with family-friendly diversions at Linnanmaki Amusement Park. The adventure continues: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Temppeliaukio Church, brush up on your military savvy at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, get engrossed in the history at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Helsinki Cathedral.

You'll find plenty of places to visit near Levi: Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park (in Muonio) and Seven Fells Up (in Akaslompolo). Spend the 14th (Tue) on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort. The adventure continues: don't miss a visit to Giewont Husky Adventures, fly down the slopes at Yllas Ski Resort, stroll through Santa"s Cottage & Pet Farm, and join the crowd at Icekarting Levi.

Fly from Helsinki to Levi in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Prepare for a bit cooler weather when traveling from Helsinki in May: high temperatures in Levi hover around 11°C and lows are around 1°C.
