An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Step out of the city life by going to Ranua Zoo and Korouoma Canyon. You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Santa Claus Village and Auttikongas. When in Rovaniemi, make a side trip to see Pyha-Luosto National Park in Pyhatunturi, approximately Pyhatunturi away. And it doesn't end there: Head underground at Syvasenvaara Fell, enjoy some diversion at Santa Claus Office, take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Rovaniemi Church.
