Kotka is a city and municipality of Finland.Kotka is located on the coast of the Gulf of Finland at the mouth of Kymi River and it is part of the Kymenlaakso region in southern Finland. Get some cultural insight at Linden Esplanade and Saint Peter and Saint Paul Cathedral. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Arboretum Mustila and Niivermaki Nature Conservation Area. Go for a jaunt from Kotka to Iitti to see Hiidenvuori about 1h 15 min away. Spend the 14th (Wed) exploring nature at Valkmusa National Park. The adventure continues: look for all kinds of wild species at Riverside Park, hike along Santalahti Nature Trail, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Varissaari - Fort Elisabeth.

Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Get in touch with nature at Teijo national park and Ruukin kehräämö ja puoti Oy. Turku Castle and Turku Cathedral are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Take a break from Turku with a short trip to Tulliniemi Nature Path in Hanko, about 1h 25 min away. There's still lots to do: head off the coast to Vepsa Island.
