Lahti

Lahti is a city and municipality in Finland.Lahti is the capital of the Päijänne Tavastia region. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at World Heritage Site - Verla Groundwood and Board Mill and Vesijärvi harbor. Get some cultural insight at Ristinkirkko and Directions Lahden historiallinen Museo. Explore Lahti's surroundings by going to Arboretum Mustila (in Elimaki), Woikosken Automuseo (in Mantyharju) and Model Railroad Museum Kouvola (in Kouvola). There's still lots to do: head off-road at Jump Up, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of Hollola, and make a trip to Musical Fountain.

On the shores of the country's largest lake system, Lappeenrata serves as the economic and cultural center of southeast Finland.
Get in touch with nature at Repovesi National Park and Saimaa Canal. Get some cultural insight at Lappeenranta Fortress and Lappeenrannan kirkko. Get out of town with these interesting Lappeenranta side-trips: Mikkeli (Kenkavero, Infantry Museum, &more). You can take a train from Lahti to Lappeenranta in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 24°C in July, and nighttime lows around 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Savonlinna.

Jyväskylä is a city and municipality in Finland and in the western part of the Finnish Lakeland. Kick off your visit on the 27th (Tue): brush up on your military savvy at Finnish Air Force Museum, take an in-depth tour of Toivolan Vanha Piha, then get a new perspective on nature at Natural History Museum of Central Finland, and finally see the interesting displays at The Craft Museum of Finland.

Traveling by car from Savonlinna to Jyvaskyla takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of bus and train. In July in Jyvaskyla, expect temperatures between 24°C during the day and 12°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 27th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Tampere.
