An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Get some cultural insight at Rovaniemi Church and Arktikum. Discover out-of-the-way places like Nature & Wildlife Tours and Korundi House of Culture. When in Rovaniemi, make a side trip to see Ranua Zoo in Ranua, approximately Ranua away. Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Visit Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church and Saariselka S:t Paulus Chapel for their historical value. Get some cultural insight at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center and Saint Tryphon Pechenga Orthodox Church.
