An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Step out of Rovaniemi to go to Ranua and see Ranua Zoo, which is approximately 1 hour away. Next up on the itinerary: get in on the family fun at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus, get a taste of the local shopping with Marttiini Store Old Factory, get curious at Pilke Science Centre, and examine the collection at Christmas House Santa.
