An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Get outdoors at Pyha-Luosto National Park and Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus Oy. Get a sense of the local culture at Santa's House of Snowmobiles and Church of Sodankyla. Change things up with these side-trips from Rovaniemi: Kemi (Kemi Church & Icebreaker Sampo) and Kopara Reindeer Park (in Luosto). On the 1st (Thu), make a trip to Giewont Husky Adventures and then get outside with Seven Fells Up. On the next day, get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour and then shop like a local with Elan Ski Shop & Rental.

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Let the collections at Gold Prospector Museum and Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center capture your imagination. Get outdoors at Lemmenjoki National Park and Urho Kekkonen National Park.
