Official Hometown of Santa Claus
An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Syvasenvaara Fell and Auttikongas. Change things up with a short trip to Tatuka Reindeerfarm in Ylitornio (about 38 minutes away). There's lots more to do: explore the world behind art at Korundi House of Culture, get lost in a book at Rovaniemi City Library, have some family-friendly fun at Snowman World Igloo Hotel, and examine the collection at Christmas House Santa.
