An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Step out of the city life by going to Juutua Nature Trail and Nature & Wildlife Tours. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church and Inari Reindeer Farm. Go for a jaunt from Inari to Saariselka to see Urho Kekkonen National Park about 1h 45 min away. There's lots more to do: get a taste of life in the country at Reindeer Farm Petri Mattus, see the interesting displays at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, and relax in the rural setting at Tuula's Reindeer.
