Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Fishing Charters & Tours and Santa's House of Snowmobiles. Korundi House of Culture and Forestry Museum of Lapland will appeal to museum buffs. Change things up with a short trip to Kemi Church in Kemi (about 1h 35 min away). There's much more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Arctic Emotions Oy, Head underground at Syvasenvaara Fell, make a trip to Santa Claus Village, and get engrossed in the history at Arktikum.
