Step out of the city life by going to Yyteri Beach and Seitsemisen Kansallispuisto. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Hatanpaa Arboretum and Vapriikin Museokeskus. Step out of Tampere with an excursion to St Olaf's Church in Tyrvaa in Sastamala--about 52 minutes away. There's still lots to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Tampere Cathedral, tour the pleasant surroundings at Pyynikki Park and Observation Tower, and pause for some serene contemplation at Finlayson Church.
