An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Start off your visit on the 10th (Fri): get curious at Pilke Science Centre, take an exotic tour of a safari tour, then explore the different monuments and memorials at German Soldier s Cemetery, then pause for some serene contemplation at Rovaniemi Church, and finally explore the world behind art at Korundi House of Culture. Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Traveling from Inari in August, things will get a bit warmer in Helsinki: highs are around 69°F and lows about 53°F.
