Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
On the 31st (Wed), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kamppi Chapel of Silence. On the next day, take in the spiritual surroundings of Rock Church, get engrossed in the history at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum, brush up on your military savvy at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, then wander the streets of Katajanokka, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Helsinki Cathedral.

Milan, Italy to Helsinki is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or drive. The time zone changes from Central European Time to Eastern European Time, which is usually a 1 hour difference. Plan for slightly colder temperatures traveling from Milan in July, with highs in Helsinki at 25°C and lows at 15°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Fri) so you can go by car to Kimito Island.
