Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Katajanokka and Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma. Step off the beaten path and head to Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Kansallisgalleria. Change things up with a short trip to Stromforsin Ruukki in Ruotsinpyhtaa (about 1h 25 min away). And it doesn't end there: steep yourself in history at Mannerheim Museum, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kamppi Chapel of Silence, admire the masterpieces at Design Museum, and tour the pleasant surroundings at Hietaranta Beach.

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Start off your visit on the 2nd (Wed): explore the venue of The Sami Cultural Centre Sajos, then pause for some serene contemplation at Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church, and then see the interesting displays at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center.
