Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.

Finland's third largest city, Tampere boasts an array of cultural offerings and a lively music scene.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Marttinen and Church of St. Alexander Nevsky and St. Nicholas. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Laukko Manor and Tallipihan Suklaapuoti. Step out of Tampere to go to Hameenlinna and see Evo Hiking Area, which is approximately 1h 25 min away. The adventure continues: pause for some serene contemplation at Finlayson Church, enjoy the sand and surf at Rauhaniemi Beach, step off the mainland to explore Viikinsaari Island, and get your game on at Irti Maasta Tampere.

Joensuu

Joensuu is a city and municipality in North Karelia in the province of Eastern Finland. Explore hidden gems such as Paha-Koli Hill and Akka-Koli Hill. Take a break from the city and head to Utra Beach and Utransaari/ The Utra Island. Get out of town with these interesting Joensuu side-trips: Koli (Koli Nature Centre Ukko & Koli Shop Retkitupa) and Rasavaara Observation tower (in Koli National Park). There's still lots to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Joensuu Church and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Pyhan Nikolaoksen kirkko.
