Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Explore hidden gems such as Natural History Museum (Luonnontieteellinen Museo) and SkyWheel Helsinki. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Helsinki: Hameenlinna (Museo Militaria & Hauhon kirkko), Heureka (in Vantaa) and Nuuksio National Park (in Espoo). An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Nature & Wildlife Tours and Moomin Snowcastle. Step out of Rovaniemi with an excursion to Amethyst Mine Lapland in Luosto--about 1h 35 min away. Next up on the itinerary: make a trip to Santa Claus Village, stop by LAURI Handicraft Shop & Atelier, get in on the family fun at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus, and Head underground at Syvasenvaara Fell.

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Step off the beaten path and head to Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort and Hippupuoti Gift Shop. The adventure continues: examine the collection at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, hike along Juutua Nature Trail, relax in the rural setting at Tuula's Reindeer, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Saint Tryphon Pechenga Orthodox Church.
