Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Napapiirin Porofarmi and SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus. There's lots more to do: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Rovaniemi Church, make a trip to Lordi's Square, see the interesting displays at Santa's House of Snowmobiles, and engage your brain at Pilke Science Centre.

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Kick off your visit on the 19th (Thu): don't miss a visit to Lapland Hotels SnowVillage and then gear up at Levi Ski Resort. Keep things going the next day: look for all kinds of wild species at Santa"s Cottage & Pet Farm, join the crowd at Icekarting Levi, then fly down the slopes at Kids' Land, and finally don't miss a visit to Ounasjoki - River for activities.

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort and Saariselka S:t Paulus Chapel. Get out of town with these interesting Inari side-trips: Saariselka (Shamaan Design - Lappi Shop & Saariselka Bowling). Next up on the itinerary: see the interesting displays at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center and tour or see a show at The Sami Cultural Centre Sajos.
