Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Go for a jaunt from Rovaniemi to Pyhatunturi to see Pyha-Luosto National Park about 1h 35 min away. There's lots more to do: take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, find something for the whole family at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus, don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Village, and Head underground at Syvasenvaara Fell.

Zurich, Switzerland to Rovaniemi is an approximately 8-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of car and train. Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Venture out of the city with trips to Saariselka (Hippupuoti Gift Shop, Nature & Wildlife Tours, &more).
