Kuusamo

Kuusamo is a town and municipality in Finland. Your day by day itinerary now includes Ruka. On the 5th (Sun), tour the pleasant surroundings at Ruka and then look for gifts at Shopping Center Kumpare. On your second day here, explore the world behind art at Hannu Hautala Nature Photography Centre, head outdoors with Karhunkierros, and then find something for the whole family at Angry Birds Activity Park.

Traveling by flight from Helsinki to Kuusamo takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Prepare for slightly colder weather when traveling from Helsinki in January: high temperatures in Kuusamo hover around -10°C and lows are around -19°C. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 7th (Tue) to allow time for travel back home.
