Hämeenlinna is a city and municipality of about inhabitants in the heart of the historical province of Häme in the south of Finland. Kick off your visit on the 20th (Sat): examine the collection at Museo Militaria, then explore the historical opulence of Hame Castle, then steep yourself in history at Birthplace of Jean Sibelius, and finally get in on the family fun at Ahvenisto. On the next day, identify plant and animal life at Evo Hiking Area, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Hauhon kirkko, then take an in-depth tour of Palander House, and finally walk around Aulanko.
