Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Turku Castle and Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova. Old Rauma and Archangel Michael's church are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Explore Turku's surroundings by going to Kurjenrahka National Park (in Poytya) and The Church of the Holy Cross (in Rauma). Although predominately an industrial town, Imatra boasts a long and impressive history of tourism, largely owing to its fierce rapids, considered to have been Finland's first ever tourist attraction.
Kick off your visit on the 7th (Tue): explore the activities along Saimaa Canal, then head off the coast to Lammassaari Island, and then take in the dramatic scenery at Imatra Waterfall. Keep things going the next day: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Lappeen Marian kirkko, don't miss a visit to Sandcastle Lappeenranta, then examine the collection at Lappeenranta Fortress, then pause for some serene contemplation at Taipalsaaren kirkko, and finally hike along Malonsaari.

Popular historic sites such as Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church and Saint Tryphon Pechenga Orthodox Church are in your itinerary. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Siida and Gold Prospector Museum.
