Finland's third largest city, Tampere boasts an array of cultural offerings and a lively music scene.
You'll explore and learn at Vapriikin Museokeskus and Sarkanniemi Theme Park. Get a sense of the local culture at Tampereen Tuomiokirkko and The Parola Armour Museum. Step out of Tampere with an excursion to Visavuori in Valkeakoski--about 36 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: look for all kinds of wild species at Hatanpaa Arboretum, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Church of St. Alexander Nevsky and St. Nicholas, enjoy the sand and surf at Riihiniemen Uimaranta, and relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Get some cultural insight at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center and Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church. Get in touch with nature at Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort and Juutua Nature Trail. Go for a jaunt from Inari to Saariselka to see Ruijanpolku Trail about 1h 15 min away. Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Helsinki Cathedral are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Step off the beaten path and head to Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Mannerheim Museum. Get out of town with these interesting Helsinki side-trips: Cathedral of Porvoo (in Porvoo) and Kotka (Maritime Centre Vellamo & Linden Esplanade).
