Step out of the city life by going to Stand-Up Paddleboarding and Hietaranta Beach. Get some cultural insight at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum. Pack the 27th (Wed) with family-friendly diversions at Linnanmaki Amusement Park. Although predominately an industrial town, Imatra boasts a long and impressive history of tourism, largely owing to its fierce rapids, considered to have been Finland's first ever tourist attraction.
Start off your visit on the 28th (Thu): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Church of St. Nicholas, then trek along Malonsaari, then contemplate the waterfront views at Saimaa Canal, and finally contemplate the long history of Lappeen Marian kirkko. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: admire the sheer force of Imatra Waterfall, head off the coast to Lammassaari Island, and then stroll through Lempukka Beach.
