Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Porvoo Old Town and Stand-Up Paddleboarding. You'll get in some beach time at Aurlahti Beach and Kallahdenniemi Beach. Change things up with these side-trips from Helsinki: Heureka (in Vantaa), Maritime Centre Vellamo (in Kotka) and St Michael Church (in Pernaja).
