Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Visit Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Helsinki Cathedral for their historical value. Museum-lovers will appreciate Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Kansallisgalleria. Get out of town with these interesting Helsinki side-trips: Sipoonkorven Kansallispuisto (in Vantaa), Inkoon kirkko (in Inkoo) and Espoo (Nuuksio National Park & Arctic Expedition). Spend the 4th (Thu) exploring nature at Teijo National Park. There's still lots to do: admire the landmark architecture of Temppeliaukio Church, identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas, admire the masterpieces at Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, and glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area.

Prague, Czech Republic to Helsinki is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train, bus, and ferry. The time zone difference when traveling from Prague to Helsinki is 1 hour. In June, Helsinki is little chillier than Prague - with highs of 21°C and lows of 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Fri) to allow time to drive to Loviisa.

Loviisa

Loviisa is a municipality and town of inhabitants on the southern coast of Finland. Get some cultural insight at Linden Esplanade and St Michael Church. Langinkoski Imperial Fishing Lodge Museum and Loviisan kirkko will appeal to history buffs. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Loviisa: Hiidenkirnut (in Askola), Arboretum Mustila (in Elimaki) and Siltakyla (Valkmusa National Park, Kokkovuori (Bonfire Mountain), &more). There's still lots to do: walk around Riverside Park, enjoy the sand and surf at Lehman, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Pyhtaa Church of Saint Henry, and examine the collection at Maritime Centre Vellamo.
