Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Visit Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali) for their historical value. Museum-lovers will appreciate Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma. Get out of town with these interesting Helsinki side-trips: Inkoon kirkko (in Inkoo), Espoo (Nuuksio National Park & Arctic Expedition) and Sipoonkorven Kansallispuisto (in Vantaa). Spend the 4th (Thu) exploring nature at Teijo National Park. And it doesn't end there: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Helsinki Cathedral, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kamppi Chapel of Silence, tour the pleasant surroundings at Uutelan luontopolku, and admire the landmark architecture of Temppeliaukio Church.

Loviisa is a municipality and town of inhabitants on the southern coast of Finland. Get some cultural insight at Linden Esplanade and Church of Ruotsinpyhtaa. Langinkoski Imperial Fishing Lodge Museum and Loviisan kirkko will appeal to history buffs. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Loviisa: Siltakyla (Valkmusa National Park, Kokkovuori (Bonfire Mountain), &more), Arboretum Mustila (in Elimaki) and Hiidenkirnut (in Askola).
